Structural design of this ten-story, 51,000-square-foot concrete tower with basement. The design included an exposed courtyard on the first floor and a terrace on the ninth floor. The structure is located on a tight urban site which necessitated the use of an innovative foundation system consisting of a combined mat and drilled piers.

Bella Vista Apartments and Recreation Building

Two-phase structural design of this apartment facility which consists of 634 apartment units in three- and four-story buildings with parking garage. The recreation building is a 900-square-foot, one-story structure with a lounge and entry plaza. The building contains a lounge, aerobics and weight room, sauna, leasing office and conference room.

1650 Jackson Street Condos
San Francisco, California

Structural design of this 11-story, 75-unit, mixed-use building in a densely populated neighborhood. The building consists of 75 residential units on the upper levels, commercial and office spaces on the street levels, and two levels of underground parking.

Structural design of this structure which has 108 units, wood-frame staff and faculty condominium units, plus 42 apartment units for hospital outpatients.

Sunrise Assisted Living of Oakland Hills

Structural design of Sunrise Assisted Living, a new senior residential complex located in the Oakland Hills. It is a 50,000-square-foot, three-story steel-framed building constructed on a hillside overlooking the San Francisco Bay.

Sheraton Gateway Hotel
Burlingame, California

Structural design of this expansion which includes a 15-story, 120,000-square-foot reinforced concrete tower, constructed adjacent to the existing hotel tower. The new tower is to contain ballrooms, meeting rooms, and more than 140 guest rooms. Two single-story parking structures flank the hotel towers. The west parking deck measures more than 30,000 square feet, and the east parking deck measures more than 10,000 square feet.

Del Norte Place
El Cerrito, California

Structural design of Del Norte Place. It is adjacent to the El Cerrito BART Station and is the prototype for BART’s proposed plans for joint development of transit villages for suburban BART station locations. It is a 190,00-square-foot mixed-used project, joint development between BART and the Redevelopment Agency of the City of El Cerrito, that provides for 135 residential units, of which 20% are affordable housing. The four-story complex consists of three stories of wood frame construction over a one-story concrete street level commercial center.
