SOHA Engineers has been a leading designer of specialty excavation support, underpinning and building shoring systems since 1970. In projects ranging from high-rise construction built on property lines adjacent to existing buildings to new garages below single-family homes, SOHA has consistently provided creative and cost-effective design solutions.

SOHA designs innovative custom slurry walls, soil-mixed walls, soil-nail and shotcrete walls, compression ring shaft shoring, tieback solider piles, sheep piles and internal bracing systems for all types excavations. SOHA also provides design of underpinning systems to support buildings adjacent to the excavation and has successfully supported heavy mid-rise buildings next to deep excavations.

Temporary support of existing structures during renovation, repair, and seismic upgrades are also a SOHA specialty. Our building shoring designs have included support of heavily loaded building columns during foundation replacement, support for floor or roof framing during wall reconstruction, and support of construction loads movable crane systems.
