This replacement facility for the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office is located on a 4.85 acre site within Redwood City. The project includes initial housing for 576 beds with future expansion to 832 beds. It also includes an administration and support services building connected to the housing units. Project is situated East of Highway 101 in poor soil conditions with Bay Mud and liquefaction issues.
