Senior Structural Engineer / Project Manager

We are looking for candidates who have extensive experience in design of most types of buildings and structures utilizing all types of construction materials including concrete, steel, masonry and wood (basic fundamentals of wood design as a minimum).

Responsibilities

  • Lead in the direction, planning, organization, control, and completion of multiple projects.

  • Organize and plan for project staffing and scheduling according to project requirements.

  • Effectively communicate with clients to address project requirements and to provide advice.

  • Perform and oversee analysis and design for all types of buildings and materials.

  • Manage other design team members and supervise the work of engineers and drafting staff.

  • Quality control and preparation of contract documents.

  • Understand and track financial information related to the project.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience designing various structural engineering projects.

  • Master’s degree in structural engineering is preferred; undergraduate degree is required.

  • Professional Civil Engineer license; Structural Engineer license is preferred.

  • Experience with software:  MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ETABS, SAP, Risa, Revit (preferred).

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts in an articulate and accessible manner.

Candidates for this position should have significant experience in design of buildings and structures utilizing one or more of the following construction materials: concrete, steel, masonry and wood (basic fundamentals of wood design as a minimum).

Structural Designer

We are looking for candidates who have some experience in design of buildings and structures utilizing one or more of the following construction materials: concrete, steel, masonry and wood (basic fundamentals of wood design as a minimum).

  • Structural analysis, design and basic detailing for various types of buildings and materials using applicable building codes.

  • Coordination of design work with in-house staff as well as other design professionals including Architects and other Engineering disciplines

  • Assist in preparation of the construction documents and other discipline’s coordination.

  • Effectively communicate with the Principal-In Charge, Project Manager and Engineer, and other design team members.

  • Sufficient knowledge and proficiency with basic engineering software.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience designing various structural engineering projects.

  • Master’s degree in structural engineering is preferred; undergraduate degree from an ABET accredited engineering school is required.

  • Professional Civil Engineer license is preferred; EIT Certification is required.

  • Experience with basic engineering software.
