The seismic retrofit of the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed building, constructed in the 1960s, is currently underway. It is the last and one of the most important works by this internationally acclaimed architect, who is described as "one of the most creative architectural geniuses of all time" and "the most original architect the United States has ever produced." The long, horizontal building gracefully links the crowns of three separate hills in Marin County and holds architectural landmark status.
